Preparation

Ambronil Syrup: Each 5 ml syrup contains Ambroxol Hydrochloride BP 15 mg.

Ambronil Paediatric Drops: Each ml of drop contains Ambroxol hydrochloride BP 6 mg.

Indication

Productive cough, Acute and chronic inflammatory disorders of upper and lower respiratory tracts associated with viscid mucus, Asthmatic bronchitis, Bronchial asthma with thick expectoration, Chronic pneumonia

Dosage & Administration

Ambronil Syrup:
2 -5 years old : 1/2 teaspoonful (2.5 ml) 2-3 times a day

10 years old and adults: 2 teaspoonfuls (10 ml) 3 times a day

Ambronil Paediatric Drops:

0 - 6 months old : 0.5 ml 2 times a day

6 -12 months old : 1 ml 2 times a day

Fungidal HC

Indication:
Inflamed dermatoses such as intertrigo and infected eczema, primary irritant or contact allergic eczema or seborrheic eczema, acne. perianal and genital dermatitis.

Dosage & Administration:
Two or three times daily.

Preparation:
Fungidal-HC® : Tube containing 10 gm cream.

Anacaine HC

Descriptions

Lidocaine inhibits the ionic fluxes required for initiation and conduction of impulses, thereby effecting local anesthetic action. Hydrocortisone acetate provides relief from inflammatory and pruritic manifestations.

Indications

Anacaine Cream is used for the anti-inflammatory and anesthetic relief form itching, pain, soreness and discomfort due to hemorrhoids, anal fissures, anal pruritus and similar conditions of the anal area.

Dosage & Administration

Anacaine cream should be applied to the affected area(s) twice daily or as directed by physician. Applicator tip should be gently inserted into the anal area (areas of discomfort and anal opening). Applicator and tube should not completely insert in the anus or rectum.

Side Effects

During or immediately following application of Anacaine Cream, there may be transient stinging or burning from open areas of skin, or transient blanching (lightening), or erythema (redness) of the skin.

Precautions

If infection occurs, the drug should be discontinued. Systemic absorption may occur when extensive areas are treated and may cause suppression of hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis; avoid using for prolonged periods or with occlusive dressings. Caution should be used with impaired hepatic function and patients taking class I antiarrhythmics.

Contraindications

Anacaine HC Cream should not be used in patients with a history of sensitivity to any of its ingredients in the preparation.

Use in Pregnancy & Lactation

Pregnancy: Pregnancy Category C. There are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women.
Lactating Mothers: It is not known whether this drug is excreted in human milk.
Pediatric Use
Safety and efficacy in pediatric patients have not been established.

Myonil

Indication:
Improvement of muscular hypertonic symptoms in the following diseases- Cervical syndrome, periarthritis of the shoulder, lumbago. Spastic paralysis in the following disease: Cerebrovascular disease, spastic spinal paralysis, cervical spondylosis, postoperative sequelae (including cerebrospinal tumor), sequelae to trauma (spinal trauma, head injury), amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, cerebral palsy, spinocerebellar degeneration, spinal vascular diseases and other encephalomyelopathies.

Dosage & Administration:
For adults: Usually 3 tablets per day in three divided doses after each meal.

Patients not adequately responding to one spray in each nostril once daily may use two sprays in each nostril once daily.

Preparation:
AvasprayTM Nasal Spray: Each bottle contains uniform suspension of Fluticasone Furoate adequate for 120 metered sprays.

Antazol

Indication:
Nasal congestion, seasonal & perennial allergic rhinitis , sinusitis.

Dosage & Administration:
Adults: 2 or 3 drops adult formula (0.1%) 2-3 times daily. Children under 12 yrs : 1 or 2 drops children's formula (0.05%) in each nostril 1-2 times daily. Not to be used in infants less than 3 months.

Preparation:

Indication:
Anadol® (Tramadol) is used for the treatment of moderate to severe painful conditions. These include: Postoperative pain, Colic and spastic pain, Cancer pain, Joint pain, Neck and back pain & Pain associated with osteoporosis.

Dosage & Administration:
Anadol® Capsule: Usual doses are 50 to 100 mg every four to six hours. For acute pain an initial dose of 100 mg is required. For chronic painful conditions an initial dose of 50 mg is recommended. Subsequent doses should be 50 to 100 mg administered 4-6 hourly. The dose level and frequency of dosing will depend on the severity of the pain. The total daily dosage by mouth should not exceed 400 mg.

What Napa Extend is and what it is used for?
Napa® Extend is the preparation of Paracetamol 665 mg extended release formulation. It is formulated by dual granulation technology. There are two types’ granules in each tablet 31% (206 mg) is in immediate release form for immediate action and 69% (459 mg) in sustain release form for continuous pain relief for 8 hours.
Paracetamol 665 mg Extended Release tablet is effective for the relief of persistent pain associated with osteoarthritis and muscle aches and pains such as backache. Paracetamol 665 mg Extended Release tablet also provides effective, temporary relief of pain and discomfort associated with headache, tension headache, period pain, toothache and pain after dental procedures, and cold & flu. Reduces fever.

Before you take Napa Extend
Do not take this medicine and tell your doctor if:
Hypersensitivity to Paracetamol or to any of the excipients.

Take special care with Napa Extend
Check with your doctor before taking this medicine if:
Paracetamol should be administered with caution to patients with hepatic or renal Dysfunction.

Taking other medicines
Anticoagulant dosage may require reduction if paracetamol medication is prolonged. Paracetamol absorption from immediate release preparations is increased by drugs which increase gastric emptying, eg metoclopramide, and decreased by drugs which decrease gastric emptying, eg propantheline, antidepressants with anticholinergic properties, narcotic analgesics.

Pregnancy and breast-feeding
Category A - Paracetamol has been taken by a large number of pregnant women and women of childbearing age without any proven increase in the frequency of malformations or other direct or indirect harmful effects on the fetus having been observed.
Paracetamol is excreted in breast milk. The amount available for ingestion by the infant has been reported variously as less than 0.1% of a single dose of paracetamol 500 mg and 0.04 to 0.23% of a single 650 mg dose.

How to take Napa Extend
Paracetamol 665 mg Extended Release tablet are to be administered orally, with or without food. Adults and children over 12 years. Two tablets, swallowed whole, every 6 to 8 hours (maximum of 6 tablets in any 24 hours). The tablets must not be crushed.

If you forget to take Napa Extend
If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember it. If it is almost time for your next dose, do not take the missed dose. Take the next dose on time.

Like all medicines, Napa Extend can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Reports of adverse reactions are rare. Although the following adverse reactions have been reported, a causal relationship to the administration of paracetamol has been neither confirmed nor refuted: dyspepsia, nausea, allergic and haematological reactions.
